![]() ![]() "Error, Unable to start playback (error=BASS_OK)" In preferences it is shown and I can select it, but when I start playback I get: Thanks for investing time and effort and creating this plugin! I have not changed any of the options in the top two sections of the config window. I then worked my way down the list of profiles in the plugin and none of them worked. Then I created a Samsung device profile with the user agent as "HM57C" which is the device name showing directly on the Samsung. My initial attempt was with setting the plugin device profile to the Generic Device which resulted in the file format not supported message. But when I select any track and attempt to play it, the device tells me "Not Supported File Format." Which is kind of hard to believe since it's playing the same track via my Logitech Media Server. I can browse through Artists, Albums, etc. Right out of the box, the Samsung sees the MB library. However, I cannot get the device to play tracks from the MB server. The device is currently able to see and play all my music tracks when served up from my Logitech Media Server. And while MB is running on my Win7 desktop PC, the music tracks are on a NAS mapped as Z:\. My device is a Samsung BluRay/DVD player connected to my home network via a wired connection and a static IP. I'm looking for some guidance in getting it set up correctly. This is a very nice and welcome addition. I have made an attempt at supporting access from X-Box devices, so if anyone has one i would be greatful if you try it out and confirm if it does work. Keep in mind I have only implemented access from within your home network for now, so if you are trying to communicate outside the network it wont work. If you are getting odd behavior, then start by enabling the debug log which is an option in the configuration screen (a file "UpnpErrorLog.dat" is created in the same AppData folder as the error log). If your device is not being detected then first check with some other software which you know works with your device. I have been warned that there are a lot of buggy UPnP devices which will require work-arounds. I dont have time today to explain them all but I think they are quite straight-forward - ask if you are not sure of something.Īs mentioned only server mode (enabled UPnP devices to browse and play from the MusicBee library) and controller mode (playing from MusicBee to UPnP devices) There are quite a few configuration options that can be set via the Configure button in the plugins panel. I've tried several DLNA Clients, but the two examples here are 'All My Media' (from the Windows store) and the Media Monkey Win 8/RT version ( ).You need the latest MB version - unzip and replace the existing files where MB is installed:Īnd you need this plugin - unzip and place in the Plugins sub-folder So I basically have 2 servers - one using Asset UPnP, and the other using Serviio, which are serving the same MP3 files. I'm just switching to a new server box, running Windows 10, and thought that I'd look for an alternative to Asset UPnP which would also serve video files, and found Serviio. ![]() I know that your official position is that Serviio is working correctly, and it is the client that is at fault, but I have found a couple of anomalies between Serviio and other media servers.Īs some background, I have been using Asset UPnP very successfully from a Windows Home Server for a number of years. I realise that this topic has been raised a number of times (often for Samsung TV DLNA clients) but I have found problems with the track order when serving MP3 files. ![]()
